Putting pressure on North Korea right now is ill advised. There are signs they're having a food shortage. Foreign currency is needed to import food. A destabilized North Korea can lead to an existential crisis for South Korea. I don't expect commenters here to comprehend this, but countries that stand to lose, such as South Korea and Japan, will turn a blind eye to NK financing operations in order to defuse the danger to themselves. Trump's timing on this will ultimately alienate our Asian allies. The "kick them while they're down" approach to international geopolitics is exceedingly dangerous, especially in case of North Korea. It has to be more nuanced than that.
