Since this "presidential" order is meant to make Twitter responsible for what its users tweet, they have no choice but to cancel the Dotard's access. Likewise, the White House Twitter feed will have to continue to be monitored for untruthfulness.

Trump is on TV saying the US is withdrawing from the WHO. Trump has withdrawn from treaties, trade agreements and has made the US more isolated and vulnerable with his big tough guy talk.

This virus is not a political game, it is not for Republicans or Democrats or for the Governors vs. the President. It is affecting all of us - all we can do or think of - we are doing. You just are not going anywhere blaming the President or anyone or any one thing - we have to stick together in this fight against the virus.

Donald J Trump may have literally been the worst person in America to have as president during this crisis.

His combination of arrogance, willful ignorance, incompetence, dishonesty, indolence, avarice, and sociopathy are unmatched in anybody I have ever met, or even heard about. He could not have handled this well even if, somehow, he managed to care enough to try.

“Many people say” the actual figure is likely to be double. They also estimate that tens of thousands died needlessly specifically because of the late response. When Trump couldn’t name call, twitter rant, or threaten to fire the virus to make it go away, Fauci et al, finally broke out the sock puppets and explained in a manner Trump could understand, how we needed to act in order to minimize the spread of the disease. It was going to be bad no matter what. Americans have places where people live too close, over a third of us are obese, many have weakened immune systems etc. All of which contribute to the severity of the disease. Yet, Trump’s dismissal of its seriousness, competing with states for PPE, dismantling of the existing pandemic response team, etc. all have cost lives. There is blood on Trump’s hands and he hates it.

100,000 lives lost and still Trump's strategy is basically to wait for a vaccine. Remember that this could have been prevented. Strong action can still be taken. Comprehensive testing and contact tracing can shut this virus down. Yet he mocks those who wear masks, slanders Joe Scarborough in accusing him of murdering a staffer, and issues an executive order to retaliate against twitter. The absolute worst president in American history. Not even close.

Well.....history wont be kind to trump, and guys like McConnell who protect and embolden trump...how did the US end up like this.

The last minute Ivanka tweet was 14 hours too late.

"We're gonna have a GREAT pandemic! The BEST pandemic! 100,000? Hah! We're shootin' for 250,000, baby!"

Trump said the only good democrat is a dead democrat. Well, he has more than 50,000 dead democrats, he should be ecstatic.

  • Bill S

Anyone who read the tweet knows that the dotrad didn't write it. The sentances were complete and no self promoting.

    Correction:
Trump gives first reaction today to 100,000 Corona virus deaths.
I have heard him speak about this for more than a week.

it's hard to believe "heartfelt sympathies" from someone who doesn't appear to have a heart, any empathy, or any concept of the equality of American citizens.

A grim statistic. Trump has done a poor job as President.

Give me a break Trump had to be prompted to show fake empathy for those who died and are affected by Covid-19!

Meanwhile, Hong Kong, one of the most densely populated places on earth with a population of 7.5 million, has had 4 covid deaths. 4. Let's just think about that for a minute. 93% willingly wear masks. I guess they just don't care about their freedoms.

"Are you sure it is 100,000 dead? Because I was told by a lot of people, a lot of people, a lot of good people that it was more like 20,000." - The Idiot In Chief

  • writergal

Hey, GOP. Your president just signed an executive order taking vengeance on a privately-owned company because his vanity is hurt. Is this OK with you? This is abuse of power.

Next question: Do you have ANY reason to think he won't do the same thing to your state, your people, your industry, if he's displeased with you? Because he WILL. You just gave him permission by keeping your mouths shut about this.

  • ProudModerate

Surprised he didn't tout it as 'great numbers' and post it on Twitter. Oh I forgot - he's MAD at them....

  • Andrew Lum

And poof, just like that more than 100,000 lives gone forever. Thank you Grim Reaper in Chief for being the gold standard in the new American STUPID.

No matter what Trump says, it happened when it was his responsibility to keep the US safe.

  • Ain'tnofortunate1

A couple of days ago Trump's economic advisor referred Americans as "human capital stock". If anyone thinks this was a Freudian slip or a brain fart, you're mistaken. This is exactly what they're calling us in their little cliques of pampered rich brats. We're a joke and/or livestock to them. And the fools who continue to support the Republicans and Trump are the ones they're talking about. Sad.

  • mark2789

Trump is not capable of caring for anything but him self..never has been and never will be. If allowed, he will use up this country for his own gain. He is evil and a threat to all that is decent

  • Waldo here . . .

donnie doesn't really understand how serious the coronavirus is until . . . . . until it hits him personally. Within his personal family. And only ones "dear to his heart".

" Trump signed an executive order Thursday on social media that could make it easier for companies like Twitter, Facebook and Google to be held liable and face lawsuits for the content posted on their platforms, after Twitter fact-checked two of the president's tweets on mail-in ballots."

So, doesn't that mean that these companies will be doing MORE fact checking and holding users accountable for dissemination of false and misleading information? Ummm, like hello Trump...nose, face, bitten off, ring a bell?

  • Lougff

Trump may tweet or say he extends his "heartfelt sympathy & love for everything that these great people stood for & represent." But he's not shown any compassion or heartfelt sympathy about anyone since he's been president. Everything is just words to appease his followers who believe every word he utters or tweets.
