I sure hope that guys simply looks like that all the time (kind of opposite of RBF) and isn't trying to suppress a laugh.

My former very abusive husband tried to shove me out of the car going speed limit on the highway. I was just lucky, I held onto the open door and managed to pull myself back in. Sad.

Is it "falling out of a car" if the person opens the door and exits the vehicle? I can see falling out of the back of a pickup or a motorcycle.

I am sure if they look into it, she had dirt on the Clintons

    carsurfing is dangerous.

Very very sad. I wish since he was sober, he had not gotten on the highway or just pulled over & called for help. It seems she was out of control. In no way was this the 1st time she had done something like this. I wonder why he sped up though?

Its a record year in Texas for vehicular related fatalities with 44 days of the year left and of those days two holiday weeks. A fatality is probably happening as I type this post. It's crazy to think the increase of fatalities has nearly doubled from last year at this time since the state population increase. Yep come and get a job in Texas but your odds to be robbed , shot or involved in an accident went way up. Happy Trails!

I don't get why they say she fell out. She was trying to get out. Getting out was her objective. She accomplished her objective.

So do we now needs child locks for impaired passengers too? Maybe a smart car in the future might get sensors to prevent dumb humans from doing stupid stuff......all I can hope that they did not procreate.

    .

    I was a hero for a 1/2 hour.

My wife (girlfriend at the time) and I were going someplace and I went in to a lefthand curve. I wasn't speeding luckily. No seat belts on.

All of sudden the passenger door un-latched and out she goes. I caught her going out and pulled her back in. If I was going fast it probably would happen faster and she would have been laying in the street.

I say hero for a 1/2 hour because it went from,

    "Term, you saved my life"

    To

    "Term, you almost killed me."

After inspection I found the latch broke. It wouldn't stay latched. Whatever part that holds the latch in place broke. It would hold the door closed. She must have leaned on the door in the curve and it popped open.

From hero to lack of maintenance.

We continued our trip with her in the backseat.

Had she not died...had she gotten off with scrapes, bruises, perhaps a broken bone or two...what would she have to say today about her behavior?

"Falls" just doesnt sound right. We fall down when we trip. We fall in love. You dont just "fall" out of a moving vehicle.

Ultimate example of why situational awareness is critical and could save your life.....while also example of universal law: When you're dumb you suffer.

One cause of this mess was likely motorists traveling so fast that they could not react in time avoid hitting the woman and the other driver hitting one of the stopped vehicles. It's called defensive driving, and it's possible to avoid a stationary object on the highway if you are practicing it. And there would be many fewer fatalities on the roads and highways if people would do more of it.

Condolences to this woman's husband and other family and friends.

1:00 a.m. - I'm thinking alcohol was a factor, which means judgment is compromised. Tragic.

"You just got to be prepared to make sudden stops on the freeway. You never know what's going to happen."
Yeah like a deer, dog, cat, rabbit or human will fly out in front of you.

How do you fall out if you're trying to crawl out?

One (or more) drinks too many and multiple bad repercussions. Moderation, I've learned in my old age, is a good thing.

  • ImWhiteWolf

hell of a way to win an argument.

Either she was reeeeally drunk or afraid of her husband. No one just decides to exit a car going that fast, especially if it isn't in the far right lane.

Alcohol and moving vehicles doesn’t typically lead to a good ending.

Sorry to hear this regardless that she was stupid

    Guess she lost that argument.
