How many Baby Boomers grew up playing “cowboys & Indians” in the 40s/50s? How many family/school pictures are out there of some politician, celebrity, CEO dressing the part? And what about those school/community plays?

There is no room permitted to grow or to expand one’s consciousness. Childhood innocence cannot be used as an excuse anymore—your past is “who” you are now, period. What you did in school will determine if SJWs will allow you to do anything meaningful with your life.

And SJWs themselves are without sin and have no skeletons in their closets...

  • Waldo here . . .

At least he has the gumption to admit being racist. If only donnie had the _ _ _ _ s.

  • Lee Thompson

He owns up to it, said he didn't realize then how offensive it was/is. He sincerely apologized. He won't do it again. Move on.

  • doubledouble

Why do we feel the need to apologize for this all the time. What is the big deal. Do we not see all kinds of people dressed up as witches, hobos, etc at Halloween. Are we not offending these groups. Where does it end

  • Bel

I'm so sick of everything being offensive. I'm Hispanic and if you want to dress like Zorro or wanted to dress like a mariachi and in doing so painted yourself brown. Go for it!

  • Sarah Levine

Jeez, what is the fascination with wearing blackface? Am I missing something here?

  • Justbkind16

For the love of all that is good! Why is this story so important? Did he refuse to rent to black people? Did he ask for five innocent black men to get the death penalty? Did he say that Mexicans are rapists and murderers? Did he want to stop all Muslims from entering his country? Wake up and get your racists straight!!! He is remorseful and has apologized. Several times. So many hypocrites going after him and completely ignoring all the real racists!

I don’t see how wearing make up when imitating someone, like Harry Belafonte, is racist. My mom darkened her face when she competed in a dance competition that was with Jamaican music. It was kind of like playing the part.

  • sixstrings

It’s not the only time he did it either.

  • Art Vandelay

CNN is just reporting that this is all Trump's fault since Trudeau was a huge Trump hater. :-)

  • IMHO

Dear all, I wonder if everyone can just stop being offended and simply become racists - "human racists"? i.e. advocating the advancement all people or conversely, just hate everyone equally? Please.

  • sixstrings

That's it...I'll never eat Canadian bacon or drink Canadian beer again!

  • HamburgerHelperAgain

I am offended by people getting offended.

  • P'Thizikil

Demographics indicate that very soon we can all be offended by whiteface scandals, too.

  • Keith W.

Crikey. Is there no bottom to the depths to which we will now allow ourselves to be offended?

  • sixstrings

For dramatic effect, he should literally fall on a sword...then tout how his medical treatment will be free because Canada has single-payer government funded health care.

  • HamburgerHelperAgain

Did he learn from his mistakes?

I guess my biggest problem with all this is that some people lose their jobs over bad things they did 20 years ago, and some don't.

Kevin Hart loses his job. Kay Ivey doesn't.

Personally I think people DO change over say a 30 year period. Someone wearing blackface way back when doesn't mean that they are a racist now. Someone making a homophobic comment in the 1980's doesn't mean they haven't since understood that's not cool now.

I'll bet dollars to beans that most of the people judging had some really dumb or downright hostile viewpoints way back when and they just aren't revealing that as they criticize others. Hypocrites, in many cases.

  • southwestfan

He admitted wrong and apologized. Maybe some of our US politicians could learn something.

  • Pluviophile

Stupid. Putting on blackface is not racist per se, by definition.

  • ButMaybe

We were all different people 20 years ago and society was different. We need some kind of statute of limitation on conduct like this.

  • Jokuvaan

I do wonder how people getting all upset about this would react if they ended up in a WWII themed costume party?
Would they start lecturing people about how Axis are bad and people dressing up as japanese do cultural allocation while ignoring those dressed as soviets or would they run for their lives before what was supposed to be a friendly meeting turns into a bloody battle over the jukebox?

  • NPTaxpayer

Enough is enough. Who cares what people dress up as at a private dinner party, Halloween or wherever. You can't say anything to anyone because their feelings get hurt. Grow up people. It's not racist. You're the only ones making it a racist issue.

  • xia

New photos produced. He might be done.

  • WarEagleX

I'm black and I don't agree that this is inherently racist. If you color your face, black or white, to play a role then its just a costume - big deal. Now, if you're acting like a minstrel in black face, or putting on white face and stereotyping a "red neck" then yes, what you are doing is racist. When Robert Downy Jr. played a black character in Tropic Thunder - it was not perceived as racist - and he gave us all great advice that I live by to this very day! And when Jamie Fox played the role of white women it wasn't perceived as racist (granted the horrible acting overshadowed the white face but I digress). So, its the context not simply the action.

  • Silverbird

Is ‘orange face’ racist? I was planning on putting on a blue suit with a blonde toupée and going as a clown for Halloween this year.

  • pbgd

That this photo turns up just a few days before the election is of course pure coincidence.

  • everybody knows

Why does the right need to do any attacking at all? Postmodern and deconstructed, the left will certainly eat itself.
