I'm amazed he nominated an Admiral for the position. I thought he would nominate someone with absolutely no experience. He did that when he selected other cabinet department heads. Education and HUD come to mind.

This was the best way for Trump to cause a deep division in the Navy, so of course he bypassed 7 four star Admirals.

Excellent choice, Gilday is very highly regarded in the navy and the cyber security experience is crucial for the future (and present)
