Oregon Citizens are running a close second behind California for the Crazy Championship of the Galaxy.

"Horse nickers".

"A judge in Oregon tossed out a lawsuit filed by Justice -- a horse -- against his owner over allegations of animal neglect."
All opposed, say "neigh".
-
Good, a judge with a brain cell....thank you judge on behalf of all animal lovers in the US
-
The judge said 'Neigh'.
This will help the Dems. though, if a "..lawsuit will not be allowed to proceed on the basis of the horse being a "non-human animal."" ..what if like the POTUS you're the back half of one horse? Can you half sue?
-
... penile frostbite.... let that soak in fellas... OUCH!
-
Did anyone else immediately think of the movie "Ted 2"? Legalize Ted!!

I hope the plaintiffs had to pay all of the legal expenses of the defense. As much as I don't like people who abuse or neglect animals, I also don't care for lawyers who abuse and misuse the legal system.

Good decision by the judge.
Bringing suit requires legal Standing. If someone were to take ownership or custodianship over this horse, that person would have standing in the court.
If we did not have standing, the civil courts would be overrun with multiple suits by large numbers of people.

It would create a "flood of lawsuits" by animals. Interesting. That must mean there is a LOT of neglect and abuse going on out there that no one is doing anything about.
While I think what happened to Justice was bad I agree that animal lack standing to sue humans
