  • That's Mr. Pooh to you.

Well Jeff does pay them pretty badly so i am not surprised if a few of them found another way to make some pocket change.

I have never had a problem with AMAZON. When I am purchasing, I also look on reviews on other sites that sell a similar product. I try also not to buy the cheapest anyway because you get what you pay for. So us consumers have a big responsibility. Some of us grab too quickly because it looks like a deal when it is not.

The best reviews tend to be the 3-star write ups anyway. You get a more balanced picture of the product.

If it wasn't for Amazon, I'd have to actually shop around. Who needs that headache?

Not sure if the 5 star reviews are valid? I have on occasion looked up on Fakespot and found out some are valid and others are questionable. I have found some items don't work and return them despite the reviews. At least for the most part the return policy is better than getting stuck with return shipping charges and a restocking fee, like Newegg.

    wow, everything is for sale...

Maybe Amazon should have shared a little of that tax windfall with their employees.

To me, the reviews are almost useless anyway. When I am interested in an item, I read the reviews.
Half of them say it's the greatest item ever invented. Half say it's the worst purchase they ever made in their lives.

  • The Outlier

Of course they did- in today's America the mantra is "Get the money." Why should low-level employees anywhere have any sense of ethics or morality when our 'leaders' are brazen criminals? Why does any Amazon employee owe Amazon loyalty? If we teach people to lie, cheat and steal to be "model" Americans, then don't be surprised when they lie, cheat and steal. Of course, the only way to get away with it is to be rich and white.

Nothing new. This type of problem happens with most online companies, for they do not want anyone to post a negative review about them. Heck, I read some stupid companies would *sue you* if you post a negative review on them.

As for Amazon, I only use them if I can't find what I want at the stores. I do not buy everything from them anyway.

Still like Amazon. I've never had a problem returning items at all if I'm not happy. And it is sure convenient.

The entire online review process has become a joke......what started out as a great idea that would provide consumers with valuable information, has become nothing more than a marketing tool. Even movie reviews are not exempt. I log onto IMDB looking for reviews on Netflix movies and it is impossible to sort through the fake ones.
Sites should delete the top 20% highest and lowest reviews, as the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Who cares? Anything bigger than a mom and pop store is all about politics and lies. Once you accept that and stop taking things so seriously, you can stop worrying about this sort of thing. Not new and not news.

Unfortunately, "sellers" are gaming Amazon in the same way they have gamed the Google algorithm. In both cases (especially Google), the service was much better before this stuff went crazy.

Amazon has serious work to do - or people will lose faith in 'their' products.

  • Mikhail

I've noticed bad yelp reviews get deleted too sometimes.

  • beingcurious

See lots of negative reviews of Amazon. Lots to criticize for to be sure. And, yet, I use them because they consistently deliver what I want, allow me to compare prices and take back anything that does not satisfy. For the most part, the reviews on the site are helpful and reliable.

  • rosaliecesar

A good thing that Amazon discovered this fraud as clients always look at comments about products before bying them .Or not.
If i am unhappy with a product or a service (hotels etc)and i make the time to share my disappointment by posting a negative comment, it has better be there otherwise i will never buy from a given website anymore.

  • flnycus

This is what happens when they pay so poorly, treat their workers so badly and everyone hates their employer (amazon), you instill this "i dont give a cr4p" mentality. Amazon has noone else to blame but themselves. Its not right but they have all the ingredients for corruption and bribery.

  • John S. Henchey

The only things I ever buy from Amazon are 50 year old books and DVD's I can't find anywhere else.
    They sell other stuff?

  • TryNot2Get2Technical

I just wish that Amazon would make it a policy that the seller has to declare where the product was being shipped from.

  • Mu Wa

I complained about billing me for things I didn't want or order. Amazon gave my info to spammers. Now I get so much junk mail the e male address is almost useless. I will go without before I do business with them again.

  • Mr. Logical

Amazon, please don't act so shocked.

Your site is rife with knock-off Chinese products that are poor quality at best, toxic at worst... not to mention fake reviews.

Deletion of a few bad reviews is the least of your problems...

    Too funny...
