What a total waste of time and effort.

Probably the most ridiculous article I'll read today.

Well...they started by pretending women make 80% of what they earn via the 79 cent lie...so I'm not sure I can take the rest of the article seriously.

You'd think that we'd have gotten past such nonsense by now. Society seriously needs to grow up. Who cares if a man or woman makes more money? It doesn't make one more or less of a man, it doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the relationship, it doesn't mean anything other than one makes more than the other.

"Women have got to start stepping up and putting themselves first --
that's what's most important," she added. "They have to be healthy,
physically and mentally, so that they can advance and take care of their
families, and this is one way that they can do that, by being able to
tell the truth about who they really are and what they earn."

This is a rather strange statement. What you put down on the piece of paper matters little, although truth is certainly preferable. That women and men for that matter should be healthy is a given. The simple fact is that any person who does not work to be able to take care of themselves financially is a fool. And that is especially true of women. Making more or less than a man is not nearly as important as making enough so you can walk out the door if you need to.
