Sad to hear. I wonder if she smoked a good part of her life. is she acidic? I bet she is eating a lotta meat is not good. cancer does not like an alkaline / high O2 environment. if she IS acidic (< 5.5 or so regarding PH) then it may be too late as they're putting her on a feeding tube is the latest word. why not just go to IV (but make certain that IV solution is around 7.5 PH!)?

I’ve loved this show for their family strength, the way they handle
their lives, the earth, their love and the simple living they enjoy. It makes the rest of us seem so petty. This is a tough illness and I pray for the best for this very gentle soul and her family.

sorry she's so sick and hope she gets well soon ! but sometimes i wonder about her mental health ?this women is stuck back i the hippy 60's and never grew up ! i understand she's a mother but her obsession with calling them her babies and wants them to have babes gets creepy ! they are adults and none of her BABIES will ever have babies living in the backwoods unless they each find someone as creepy as them ! perhaps living in the wild isnt such a great idea if you cant get a regular doctor check up ! ?

She needs to start drinking Alkaline water. Do some research - cancer cannot live in Alkaline water! There are several water purifiers on the market that produce Alkaline water. I have a Kangen Water purifying system.

If it's small cell at any stage ,her chances of life will be a year give or take.

If it is stage III small cell, her chances aren't so great. Maybe a year. Just depends on how long between the time it's in remission and it returns.
My lifelong friend passed away from this terrible disease. He had it a little over a year. Only 3 months in remission and he went as soon as he had 1 symptom.
If they would all just stop smoking! It is a tragedy and makes me feel bad. It's one cancer we know we can stop. I hope all who see this show realize that down the road isn't as long as you think. And everyone wants to live. I hope all goes well and she is one who survives this.

Oour family watches this show we are all praying for the entire family we pray Ami will pull through and beat this cancer and that Matt is ok as well. It looked like maybe he was attacked by a bear. Just very thankful the discovery channel crew was with him to get him medical help..
