I hope someone kills that SOB hunter. Anyone who thinks that brags about killing a defenseless and handicapped animal doesn't deserve to live in this world!

What kind of a ghoul gets enjoyment out of tormenting and killing a bear? What kind of subhuman thinks that's fun? And we have this bear--that likely needs help. And that probably made killing him even more fun.

I hope he didn't suffer. I hope his killer does.

I am NOT anti-hunting. While I've never done it myself, I have eaten venison on several occasions and enjoyed it.
But this is a tragedy, to kill an animal that fought so hard to survive.
A local paper's outdoor writer had a column about a woman hunter who killed a bear missing a front paw. He quoted her as saying "I saw it and my first thought was what an awesome trophy it would make".
There was a woman online who posted pics of a white deer. Not an albino because his eyes were blue, but still an awesome sight. During hunting season, she stopped posting pics because she didn't want to alert hunters where the deer was.
Pedals overcame huge obstacles simply to survive and deserved better than an arrow.

Damn they rip out a bears tooth for age verification every time they find one?

I am ok with hunting especially in urban areas, but a more humane way to deal with this situation would have been to capture this bear and put it in a sanctuary because this bear had already evidently suffered enough. Without his front paws and walking upright, this bear was probably easier to spot and kill. Hunting for sport bothers me. I only hope that the unnamed hunter killed Pedals quickly so that this animal didn't leave this world suffering even more than it already had. This hunter may feel thrilled about his kill, but anybody with a shred of compassion or a little empathy doesn't share the hunter's glee for the death of this creature.

Hunting for Trophey or sport should be outlawed. If we are truly a civilized society then we can do better than the current.

RIP Pedals. Sad story.

If it's true, it's sad. Pedals the Bear was a tenacious fella, obviously burdened with some physical challenges, but still able to make it work. Pedals the Bear was just trying to live his freakin' life. Of course, that will no longer be an issue, given that these two bow-huntin' deplorables arbitrarily decided it was Pedals' time to die. A fun time was had by all, I'm sure.

Anti-hunting propaganda
