Not sure what would be better. Cashiers check? Travelers checks? Moneygram? Large cash only transactions were supposed to be done away with the rise of electronic banking, but we still get these situations. In addition no one wants $100 dollar bills as they think they are all counterfeit.

Wonderful lady for sure.

what's in your wallet?

She definitely has integrity even more so as she doesn't have much money currently. She did however hesitate and keep the wallet overnight as she was tempted to keep it but even Jesus was tempted. Being honest is a cruel existence in this world. I found $400 in cash in an envelope in the parking lot of a supermarket. I turned it into the office inside with my name. Some older woman had lost it. I didn't even get a thank you. That's life.

You'll never regret giving it back. You'll regret keeping it your entire life.

Does she have a gofundme account? People would like to help her, I'm sure.

Great story. I also like to thanks the stranger who turn in my $700 to the bank after I lefted on atm many years ago. It took a week to get it back from the bank but at least I got it back.

I have a question that maybe someone out there can answer: How does something like this get into the news?
-
Wow, she didn't take $4,000 that wasn't hers....let's give her the keys to the city for not stealing.

What a idiotic comment as she had his wallet and all his info but thinks she would keep the money somehow. It's like stealing, she a moron for the thought! She did right!
From Article: "But the bagel shop employee quickly turned away the temptation to use the money for herself, she said.
"I slept on it, and the next day, I thought, what if it was me who lost that?" Beltran said. "When I looked at the ID in the wallet, I realized the address for the owner was right down the street from my house, so I went over there the next day.""
So she sleeps on it and waits till the next day to turn in the wallet and this is explained as the bagel shop employee "quickly turned away the temptation to use the money for herself." Interesting. I guess we all have a different definition of "quickly". Lol!
