The erection of these type of structures are very dangerous. The immense weight and heavy rigging needed to place the sections are absolutely critical and not forgiving of mistakes and the fact that the concrete sections have been know to fail during construction. When completed they are very sound. Not so during erection phase. Was involved in this type of construction. Was injured and have a friend that lost his leg due to a precast section breaking apart on another job.
